Welcome
I am primarily self-taught with a little help and encouragement from my local and talented writing group. When not on the computer, I write in shorthand. Yes, I am old-er. I love writing (not always).
Poetry was my first port of call. I joined the Poets of the Palm Beaches and learned a thing or three. From there, I passed through plays and sailed onward to the promised land of prose.
Sometimes, I hear a clear voice. The Heirloom is an example of this. The dialect was distinct and full of verve. Her name is Callie Mae. Of course, I had to shape and polish, but the fundamental story was alive from the beginning.
Alex, the eclectus parrot in The Ingathering, was another voice that came quickly. His strong personality runs throughout the novella as you will see.
Homeless and A Visit to the Vet originated from personal experience. Cross my heart and hope to die.
The best way to know if you would like my writing is to read it. So, please select from the menu to your right or click on WORKS and thank you for visiting.
